Talking Points

-According to a Washington Post ABC News Poll done 2/22 to 2/25/07

*67% of Americans oppose the Bush-McCain  plan to send more troops into Iraq.

*56% approve of a withdrawal in order to avoid further U.S. military casualties,     even if that means civil order is not restored in Iraq.

-The Democratic victories in November sent a clear message that Americans want a change of course in Iraq.   We put the Dems in office to figure out how to get us out of the war in Iraq.

-President Bush is requesting nearly $100 billion in additional war spending for F.Y. 2007.  So far we have spent 405,620,625,000.00 on the war in Iraq.

- 3171 American soldiers have died in the war in Iraq.

- 23,785 Americans have been seriously injured in the war in Iraq.

Enough of a Failed Policy is Enough!
