Lock It for Love – Request a Table

Lock It for Love (LIFL) is a community outreach and education program whose purpose is:

  • To educate the community about gun safety, with a focus on prevention of death or injury caused by guns kept in homes.
  • To distribute free gun locks, particularly in areas where children are at greatest risk of gun violence

In 2021, Women’s Voices distributed over 1,671 FREE gun locks to adults in the St. Louis community with unsecured guns in their homes. The majority of these went to homes in “high-risk” zip codes in St. Louis (those where children are at highest risk of gun violence). These gun locks were distributed through 20 community events, as well as through an expanded network of partnerships including St. Louis County Library, St. Louis Public Library and the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, in addition to Wash U’s C.A.L.M. program and Safer Homes Collaborative, two groups working to prevent suicide. If you would like to request a Lock It for Love table at your event, please complete the form below. A representative will contact you with any additional questions or to confirm our availability. If confirmed, LIFL volunteers will staff your event free of charge. We are unable to cover fees for participation at your event, and will require a table (preferably six-foot) and two chairs.
