Women’s Voices’ mission:
- To identify, research and discuss critical issues
- To mobilize, energize and inspire ourselves and others to action
- To work as individuals and in community for social justice
Women’s Voices achieves our mission through education and advocacy. Our program committee selects a variety of knowledgeable speakers to provide information on a variety of social justice issues. Programs are held on the second Thursday of each month, September through May, at 7 p.m. at The Center of Clayton (50 Gay Ave., Clayton, MO 63105). Programs are open to the public, free of charge, and guests are welcome. Check out our Past Programs.
Women’s Voices addresses the following issues:
- Economic Justice
- Gun Violence
- Health Care
- Human Rights
- Justice System
- Racial Justice
- Reproductive Justice
- Voting Rights
Our activities include: writing letters or commentaries published in print media; attending educational meetings; disseminating information; public speaking; marching and witnessing. Women’s Voices works with other social justice organizations, participates in coalitions; and develops and implements programs and activities in collaboration with like-minded groups.
