Community Resources for Storm Recovery

Severe thunderstorms and a confirmed EF3 tornado tore through parts of the city on Friday, May 16.

Volunteer with Women’s Voices!

We have coordinated several volunteer opportunities to help our neighbors.  You can read more and sign up here.

Whether you need support or are looking to assist others, here are key resources available:

Shelters

The Greater St. Louis chapter of the American Red Cross has opened three shelters in the city at the following locations:

Grace United Methodist Church
6199 Waterman Blvd.

Friendly Temple Outreach Center
6356 Dr. Martin Luther King Dr.

12th & Park Recreation Center
1410 S. Tucker Blvd.

Red Cross shelters do not require ID or proof of residency.

Together STL

Restore STL – Volunteers needed for neighborhood & yard clean up. Chainsawing and emergency window repair are the biggest needs. Email Molin Ray at mray@ncfstl.org or text 847-754-6925 with the specific (1) time, (2) number of people and (3) skills and/or tools you can bring to schedule your time.

Supply Donations

Collection sites are throughout the city. Items in need may vary by location:

Water, trash bags, flashlights, batteries, first aid kits and supplies, power banks, gloves, tarps, ponchos, umbrellas, paper towels, cleaning products, disinfecting wipes, bleach, and tape 2×4 lumber, 4×8 sheets of plywood or boards, wood screws, masks, and safety goggles.

Diapers, hygiene products, period products, toothpaste, toothbrushes,  toiletries, deodorant, non perishable foods, packaged snacks.
